Low Gluten Diet


Gluten is a type of protein molecule found in grains like wheat, rye, and barley. Gluten makes dough become elastic. It also makes baked goods airy and light . This type of protein is found in mass-produced items especially processed foods. Some people have problem digesting gluten, such us gluten intolerance or worst problem like celiac disease. Celiac disease is a disease that creates inflammation in your digestive system after you eat gluten. It's related with your autoimmune. Celiac disease can causes damage to the intestines and other body systems and it's extremely painful.

If you’re gluten intolerant or may be you want to reduce gluten from your diet for any personal reasons, you may do Low Gluten Diet.

Low-gluten diet is diets that limit or eliminate protein. Aside from avoiding wheat, barley and rye, those who follow a diet will have to be compelled to omit several breads, pastas, cereals and processed foods from their diet.

During the diet, doctors usually instruct patients to eliminate possible allergens from their meal, for one week to a month, and keep a journal that tell everything they eat. your doctor can give food recommendations to prevents the body from gripping such vital nutrients as carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, calcium, and fats that you normally get from gluten-rich grains. While eliminating gluten you should take extra care to check food labels and ingredients of your meal.

After you finish your elimination period, you reintroduce gluten or other possible allergens, slowly over  1 to 2 weeks. You should be able to determine if you have a digestive problem with gluten by charting your reactions during the period.
